When should you take your child for their first dental check-up?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a child’s first dental visit occur around the time their first tooth appears, typically around 6 months old. This may seem young for a dental visit, however your baby’s teeth are very important to their overall healthy development. Baby teeth are small, so little issues can become big problems very quickly so we recommend an early visit so we can catch little issues early when simple changes can correct them.
PLEASE NOTE: If you’re child is older and never been to the dentist, don’t be concerned. It is never too late to have your first dental visit. Schedule your child today and get them started on a lifetime of great oral health and a beautiful, healthy smile.
